Client: Shell / Schedule: 2018 - ongoing

The Ormen Lange Phase 3 project investigates concepts for increasing late life production of the Ormen Lange field. The different concepts all concentrate about a compressor facility installed along the route of the two 30” export pipelines from the Ormen Lange field. Several concepts are investigated with a wide variety of challenges. The work provides engineering support and deliverables as required for the OLPh3 project team to meet key milestones and decisions. REINERTSEN New Energy has provided a team with extensive knowledge of field architecture and subsea compression systems including detailed knowledge from previous Ormen Lange projects.

Scope:

REINERTSEN New Energy provides Shell with engineering support in evaluating specific challenges to strengthen concepts or in some cases exclude them. The key disciplines where REINERTSEN New Energy supports the Shell OLPh3 project team are:

The post-FEED phase will be completed during the summer of 2021 with subsequent detail engineering. REINERTSEN New Energy will also have a role in the "follow-on" phase, which is expected to last until 2025.
