REINERTSEN New Energy have today (Aug 12th 2022) signed a long-term framework agreement with Equinor. The agreement has a duration of 5 years with the option of extension to 9 years.
The scope of work is early phase studies and engineering support to Equinor's project execution.
With this framework agreement, REINERTSEN will be central in exploring both technology and solutions for the next projects in cooperation with Equinor.
- “REINERTSEN already have framework agreements with Shell, ConocoPhillips and Neptune Energy, but Equinor remains by far the largest player in Norway and will play a key role in the development of new solutions for hydrogen and ammonia internationally. This agreement is therefore particularly important to us," says CEO Geir Suul.
We are continuously developing our organization and with this long-term agreement we will recruit a large number of engineers. Competence is important in this development.
The Scope of Work for this Framework Agreement covers:
Multidiscipline Facilities studies - offshore and onshore
Low carbon value chains / hydrogen / ammonia (onshore plants)
Carbon capture, utilisation, and storage (CCUS)
Greenfield1 and Tie-in projects
Brownfield2 projects (onshore and offshore)
Electrification projects (onshore and offshore)
Offshore wind.
